Overview

About this book

Pilgrims exchange romances, fabliaux, sermons and debates on the road to Canterbury, followed here by additional poems attributed to Chaucer in an older edition. D. Laing Purves modernizes spelling, embeds glosses and condenses some prose; several attributions are now rejected, so this is a historical popular edition rather than a critical text.
